Self-Improvement for Writers and Other Creative Types
Welcome, dear readers, to my little corner of the blogosphere.
I am a writer, editor, maven, and connector at long last launching my professional website and new blog.
I’m no stranger to blogging; my personal and professional blogs have appeared online since the early 2000s.
With this one, I hope to provide readers with what I’ve been terming in my mind “Self-Improvement for Writers and Other Creative Types.” I’ve always been a self-improvement junkie, my shelves filled with books such as The Simple Living Guide, A Path With Heart, and The Joy Diet.
Plenty of websites and blogs can tell you how to write better (or play piano, or underwater basket weave). And in many ways, I’m still learning myself. (Creative nonfiction, for instance, is a relatively new genre for me.) So while I will post some writing tips and links to others’ advice, this blog will mainly focus on areas that intersect with the process, such as creativity, productivity, technology, and so forth.
I don’t profess to be a great expert–just someone who thinks a lot and is struggling like everyone to make a living doing what I love. (Oh, and I like to use parentheses, if you haven’t already noticed.)
Please enjoy, and if you feel inclined, let me know what you think through the comments or on Twitter.
